A Very Broadway Valentine – 2016

Last year, we started this blog with a post of Broadway-inspired Valentine’s Day dates.  With a whole year of blogging under our belt, we decided to offer advice for 2016’s hopeful romantics – a new list of 14 theatrical twist to classic date-night activities.

(1) A Candle-Lit Dinner for Two

The Heath at the McKittrick Hotel is offering a special Valentine’s Day Dinner with a prix-fixe menu, complementary champagne, and live jazz.  Choose to dine on February 14th or celebrate a day early on the 13th.

(2) Go Clubbing

‘Broadway’s Supper Club,’ Feinstein’s/54 Below, is offering two Valentine-themed concerts this weekend.  First up is Love Songs for the VDAY Foundation on February 13th at 9:30pm.  Then, on the night of February 14th, catch either the 7:00pm or 9:30pm performance of Broadway Couples Sing I Do! I Do!

You and your date are going to have to wait a few days for this one, because Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of She Loves Me doesn’t start previews until February 19th.  But, you and your Valentine can spend Sunday night cozied up on the couch ordering your tickets!  She Love Me‘s all-star cast includes Laura Benanti (Gypsy), Zachary Levi (“Chuck”) and Jake Krakowski (“30 Rock”).

(10) See a Movie

The McKittrick Hotel is throwing a Valentine’s Day Supercinema party inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet.
