The Mid-Season Report

In the 9 months since the 2015 Tonys, 22 shows have opened. With only two months left before the 2016 Tony eligibility deadline, 16 additional productions are slated to open. We go through the fall season of musicals to see which productions and performers are at risk of losing their nomination slot in the next two months, and which are pretty likely to get a nod no matter what happens this spring.

Fall Fanfare – A preview of the Fall 2015 Broadway Season

Hamilton, the new, hip-hop musical about Alexander Hamilton from In The Heights composer, Lin-Manuel Miranda, seems to be the only show getting press notice recently. However, the summer mega-hit is about to meet some new neighbors, as seventeen productions have announced opening nights between September and December.
