About The Show

The press room of Chicago’s Criminal Courts Building is buzzing with reporters covering the story of an escaped prisoner. When star reporter Hildy Johnson accidentally discovers the runaway convict, he and his editor Walter Burns conspire to hide the man from the other reporters, while they chase the biggest scoop of their careers.

About The Show

In 2014, Tooting Arts Club staged Sweeney Todd in Harrington’s–London’s oldest working pie and mash shop. Steeped in history and atmosphere, this quintessential Victorian pie shop proved to be the perfect chamber of horrors for this iconic Gothic tale. Before each show, audience members were welcomed to arrive early to Harrington’s for their very own meal of pie and mash.

We will continue this pre-show tradition with our guests at the Barrow Street Theatre and we’re delighted that former White House pastry chef Bill Yosses has taken on the role as our official pie maker.

What We Did

OHenry Productions managed investments in Sweeney Todd.

About The Show

Two pro tennis players, a younger, polite Romanian on his way up and an older, argumentative American on his way out, are pitted against each other, on and off the court. But they may be more alike than they know, and, like a tennis match, the balance of power keeps shifting.

About The Show

Meet Ben. Ben is a 26-year-old investment banker. Ben likes beer, sports and Emily … and Chris. Straight is a provocative new play that deals with fidelity, sexuality, and identity in “post-equality” America. Funny, sad, sexy and surprising, this three-character drama takes a hard look at the moral complex of a generation that prides itself on the pretense of acceptance.

What We Did

We produced Straight‘s Off-Broadway run at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row.

Macbeth

Macbeth

About The Show

In this chilling reimagined production of Macbeth, Tony winner Alan Cumming tackles nearly every role in Shakespeare’s iconic fight for the Scottish throne, including Lady Macbeth, Banquo, the three witches and of course, Macbeth. Set in an eerie mental institution, the story is told by a lone psychiatric patient through the use of surveillance cameras, props and an observing doctor and orderly who periodically check in on him. As the drama in Shakespeare’s masterpiece intensifies, the patient slips further into his own madness.

What We Did

OHenry Productions managed an investment in Macbeth.  The show also marked Oliver Roth’s first Broadway credit, as he served as the Production Assistant.

About The Show

Based on true events, Kinky Boots tells the heartwarming and humorous story of two people with nothing in common — or so they think! Charlie is a factory owner struggling to save his family business. Lola is a fabulous entertainer with a wildly exciting idea. With a little compassion and a lot of understanding, this unexpected pair learns to embrace their differences and creates a line of sturdy stilettos unlike any the world has ever seen! But in the end, their most sensational achievement is their friendship.

There’s never been a better time to see Kinky Boots. It’s a celebration of the best in all of us — the challenges that shape our journey, the joys that keep us going and the shoes that lift us up along the way!

What We Did

Kinky Boots was our first investment on Broadway.  After looking at several highly anticipated productions in the same season, we decided to back this dark horse, a horse that ended up winning the Tony Award for Best Musical, and becoming a Broadway juggernaut.

Invisible Thread

About The Show

Griffin, a black American volunteer, travels to Uganda from New York City to help build a village school and escape his church’s probing into his sexuality. But when he falls into a complicated relationship with a group of destitute, orphaned teenagers, he becomes obsessed with a mission that will change his and their lives forever. From the beautiful rolling hills of the Ugandan countryside to a stifling apartment in New York City, from a joyous celebration of African youth to a terrifying abduction 8000 miles away, Invisible Thread documents the story of a man battling to find his place in a world full of injustice and inhumanity and explores the question “is changing the world even possible?”

What We Did

We are part of the producing team which brought Invisible Thread into New York.  We are currently producing the show and working to get the infectious energy of Invisible Thread to as many theaters and audience members as possible.
